Since I started my jmusic quest, I’ve been like searching and looking for jpop/jrock artists that I can listen to and can love eventually. I found out about ZONE in a forum and the fact that they were an all-girl band made me curious. ZONE, specifically, is a bandol (band + idol) who can dance as well as play instruments.
I love them, really. I’m still a newbie in the Japanese music fandom and I can say that I’ve never really liked an artist this way before. I’m totally into them! *o(X)o* Unfortunately, they were already disbanded! Why? It makes me sad, as in super sad. I know disbanding is part of every band’s life but I just can’t really believe it. They really, really make great music.

But that’s okay, everyone has gone solo now except Maiko (the short haired) who’s now in a new all-girl band, MARIA. I’m really curious about why ZONE disbanded!
I just recently acquired their Best Memorial Clips DVD and I’m loving their summer-ish PVs – true blue and Taiyou no Kiss. I love their Akashi PV as well. ♥
I definitely recommend ZONE. If you want to try them, I uploaded their E ~Complete A side Singles~ album which is a compilation album of their 17 singles from 1999-2005. I personally love GOOD DAYS (track #1), Daibakuhatsu No.1 (track #2), secret base ~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~ (track #3), Akashi (track #7), H.A.N.A.B.I ~Kimi ga Ita Natsu~ (track #11) and Sotsugyou (track #13)

I’m not really into Japanese groups and stuff but what I know is, I hate it when the bands I like disband. One example is the group, A*Teens. I used to be really fond of them and I remember having a huge crush on the blonde guy in the group. Unfortunately they had to disband sooo there. Nothing much we can do about it though but CRY!

Wow. They are good. 0_o I’m never into Japanese bands except l’arenciel from long time ago.. I must’ve missed a lot of good j bands.
aww, sorry to hear about that. I’ve heard of Zone before, but never really heard any of their songs before except maybe one. I remember liking the short hair girl XD (because I like short hair) Too bad she’s not doing a solo work though. I hope you’ll be able to find another group that would give you that same passion towards music. =3
I think I’ve heard of them before… they did some opening or ending for some anime that I watched, probably.
Too bad they disbanded. But 6 years is a really long time, too. :]
