So yeah, happy 2011! It’s year of the rabbit, huh? According to astrology.com, I (ox) have 10 favorable months and 2 not-so favorable months. So I guess it’s going to be a good year! So how was your new year celebrations? I celebrated mine with my hubby and mother of course. Since it was just the three of us, it wasn’t really a big celebration~ we didn’t watch the fireworks either or made noises – maybe because they’re not really my thing. Anyway, I’m saying that but it was probably my most exciting new year since 3-4 years, maybe because we finally got a refrigerator after moving in here since October?
Then after that, January 2nd is my birthday! Actually, I’ve known all my life that my birthday is the 2nd of January, my mother says so, but my birth certificate says I’m born on January 1st. Things are really complicated and I really don’t know when’s my actual birthday so dou demo ii, I’ll just celebrate it on both days! *LOL* I had a mini-party that day and my college friends came. Actually, the one who brought up an idea of a mini-party/get-together was one of them. I usually don’t celebrate my birthday but since they wanted it (I guess) so there, we had it. I cooked spaghetti ala carbonara and made no-bake graham cake (or tiramisu) for them. I was really nervous about the carbonara because it was my first time in cooking it. I actually panicked a little bit in the beginning because it turned out to be something I didn’t expected. ( I followed Panlasang Pinoy’s recipe, and the result turned out a bit different than the carbonara of my hubby’s sister which is the carbonara I’ve known.) Anyway, it turned out pretty okay!
We agreed that they’ll come to our house by 3pm but they arrived at 6pm~ish. I was pretty worried that they won’t come at all. *LOL* I’m kind of prone to disappointments when it comes to my friends (it’s not them in particular) so I have little confidence when it comes to this kind of thing. Anyway, they came so that’s all that matters. :] And they freaking went home by 2am. LOL We did karaoke for a bit and then we watched One Missed Call Final (because they’re looking for something scary and that’s all I have – mainly for Horikita Maki and Kuroki Meisa :3 -because I hate scary stuff) and Salt. By the time we were watching Salt, I was really sleepy. =P Maaa, it was fun! I kind of wanted to play Rockband with them or play some Wii games but I guess they’re in a totally different world than mine, they’re not into those kinds of things.
Even with that, I had so much fun!
